Conclusion: The End ....

We concluded that the diseases during the French Revolution were a very important issue during that period because they were linked. Although the French Revolution was all about fighting for the end of the monarchy we can see how also other topics relate each other in this case the diseases. The poor conditions in which the french people were force to live and their low resources because of the war contributed to the spread of the diseases which lead to an epidemy. Also we see how the diseases affected the citizens by making them weak, sick, and by affecting the people the war was also affected because now they weren't as strong as they needed to be. Also because it was very difficult to find a cure or control this diseases during this period of war. We think that they affected many aspects of the French Revolution and in their ways of living and that's why we need to see how we cannot only focus on the historical events like dates or wars. We need to go deeper and reflect about how just one topic can be related with other things that also create impact.

Diary of Anotine Pontmercy ( Friday September 29)

Paris France

I don't have words to express what I am feeling. Today at 4:23 pm mom stop to breathe. MOM DIE! I know she was suffering alot here, but I need her. She was my guide. What I will do with my little brothers? I will miss her alot.  After I notice mom dead, I run to an abandoned fabric where I am crying and remembering the most beautiful moments we lived with mom.
I don't want to talk with anyone. I just want to be alone...

Aunt charlotte will live with us for about 2 months, for support us in this dark moment, right now she must be with my little brothers. We are in good hands.

Diary of Antoine Pontmercy ( Tuesday August 23, 1790)

Paris, France

Sadness. Hopelessness. Despair. Are all the fellings I'm feeling right now. In the morning, mom began to cought alot. She didn't want to leave the bed. I saw she didn't had forces to wake up. My little brothers were  still sleeping. So, I went out of the house and began to run to the house of Dr. Mercier. When I arrived to his house, I began to hit the door with  all my forces. Dr. Mercier came out in pijamas. By that moment I was very pale and my voice can't came out. I imagined the worst about the sickness of mom. So, I hold him of his hand and I began to ran in all the street with the doctor.
Finally, we arrive to my house. We enter. My little brothers were crying and scared sitting around mom. When I approached mom, I began to cry. Mom was hot, she had fever. She had a lot of fever and was very pale, without forces. The doctor told me to go to the other room with my brothers to let him do his job. We obbey. After around of 15 minutes, the doctor called us. He was like scared of saying something. He began to talk:     "Children... Your mom... Your mom has tuberculosis.. is an infectious disease caused by mycrobacteria. Your mom is very delicated. You need to take care of her... I am very sorry child... Good luck... I am sorry... What a disaster". He left the house and leave us alone with a sick woman.
I don't want mom to die... I couldn't imagine my life without her...

Diary of Antoine Pontmercy (Wednesday March 18, 1789)

Paris, France

Bonjour , my name is Antoine Raymond Pontmercy , but I like to be calle only Antoine. I am 23 years old and I live in a small house located in Paris with my mother and my two brother Thiery and Jacques. I found this old notebook thrown in the street,so I picked it up  and decided to write a daily diary about my life. Well, living today in France is not so good. Revolution has started and the whole country is a disaster. People say that all of this is happening because they want to cause that the absolute monarchy that govern  France, collapses. Mom doesn't allow us leaving the house for any reason.

Well, I have to live, mom needs some help with my brothers.

A. Pontmercy.
